POCO F7 Ultra may get the fresher CPU while the POCO F7 Pro will have the predecessor.
POCO will launch an “ultra” smartphone for the first time. A tipster suggested that the new model is higher than the “pro” and a rebrand of a Redmi device.
On X, Erencan Yılmaz posted that the POCO F7 Series appeared on the GSMA IMEI database where POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra were spotted. The alleged POCO F7 Pro has the 24117RK2CG model number while the POCO F7 Ultra has the 24122RKC7G model number.
Their model numbers are close to their Redmi counterparts. Specifically, Redmi K80 Pro (24122RKC7C) for POCO F7 Ultra and Redmi K80 (24117RK2CC) for POCO F7 Pro. So, where’s the base model? That remains to be seen.
The models and rebranding suggest that the POCO F7 Pro will be powered by the previous flagship, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The POCO F7 Ultra, on the other hand, may get the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite.
If that’s true and POCO puts an aggressive price tag on the F7 Ultra, it’s going to shake the market just like how it has done with the X6 and F6 Series this year. The POCO F7 Ultra may become the next flagship, flagship-killer combo.
