POCO’s not playing it safe this year. The upcoming POCO F7 is tipped to launch by late May, and from what we know so far, it’s looking like a spec-packed device that might hit the sweet spot for performance-focused users who don’t want to overspend.

The POCO F7 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (SM8735), paired with up to 16GB of RAM and a hefty 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Up front, it’s rumored to pack a 6.83-inch flat AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2800 x 1280) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. That’s flagship-tier screen territory—flat, sharp, and fast, which should be great for everything from gaming to binge-watching.
Battery life looks like another win. The POCO F7 is expected to come with a huge 7,550mAh battery and 90W fast charging support. That’s the kind of capacity you don’t usually see at this price point, and it should easily carry you through heavy use with quick top-ups when needed.
On the back, expect a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide, while selfies and video calls will be handled by a 20MP front shooter. It’s not trying to be a camera phone first, but it’s packing enough versatility for day-to-day shots and social media content.
It’ll reportedly run Android 15 out of the box with HyperOS 2.0 layered on top. That means smoother performance, better RAM management, and tighter ecosystem integration. Rumors also point to extras like an in-display fingerprint scanner, metal mid-frame, IR blaster, and even IP68/IP69 protection—a rarity in this price tier.
Availability: India First, Global to Follow?
The F7 has already cleared BIS certification, so India will likely be among the first markets to get it. A broader global rollout should follow, but POCO hasn’t dropped any official confirmations yet.
