realme has just pulled back the curtain on its much-anticipated realme 15 series in India, and it’s clear they’re not just aiming for an upgrade – they’re aiming for a revolution in the mid-range. With powerful new chipsets, beefed-up camera systems, and a battery that could power a small village, the realme 15 and realme 15 Pro are here to shake things up.
This year, realme is streamlining its lineup, bidding farewell to the “Pro+” moniker and simplifying to the realme 15 and realme 15 Pro. But don’t let the simpler names fool you; these devices are anything but basic.

A Display That Dazzles, Battery That Doesn’t Quit
Both the realme 15 and realme 15 Pro sport a stunning 6.8-inch OLED display with a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate. This means your scrolling, gaming, and video watching will be incredibly fluid. What’s more, these panels hit an impressive 2,100 nits of peak brightness (with some claims of up to 6,500 nits local peak brightness!), ensuring excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, they’re designed to withstand daily bumps and scrapes.
But the real showstopper might just be the battery: a colossal 7,000 mAh unit powers both devices. Forget battery anxiety; realme promises up to 83 hours of Spotify playback on the vanilla model! And when you do need to juice up, 80W fast charging gets you from 0 to 50% in a mere 25 minutes. All this power is packed into surprisingly slim bodies, with the Pro measuring just 7.69mm thin. Talk about a feat of engineering!

Photography Redefined with a Dash of AI Magic
realme is pushing the boundaries of mid-range photography, especially with the Pro variant.
The realme 15 Pro boasts a formidable triple 50MP camera setup on the rear. The main sensor is a flagship-grade 50MP Sony IMX896 with OIS for incredibly stable and detailed shots, even in challenging conditions. The real surprise, however, is the 50MP ultrawide camera, a significant upgrade from the typical 8MP sensors often seen in this segment. This means expansive landscapes and group shots will retain far more detail. Rounding out the camera experience is a sharp 50MP selfie shooter.
The vanilla realme 15 isn’t far behind, packing a 50MP main camera with OIS (featuring a Sony IMX882 sensor) and the same high-resolution 50MP front camera. It sports an 8MP ultrawide, which is still respectable for its class.
Both phones shine with new AI-powered camera features. The AI Edit Genie allows for voice-controlled photo editing, letting you add or remove elements, change backgrounds, or alter settings with simple commands. There’s also AI Party Mode to enhance low-light portraits and candid shots, promising flawless skin tones and vibrant lighting effects. Plus, expect 4K 60fps video recording from both front and rear cameras on the Pro model, a huge win for content creators!
Powering the Experience: New Generation Chipsets
Under the hood, the realme 15 series gets a serious performance boost:
- The realme 15 Pro is one of the first devices to feature the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. Built on a 4nm process, this chipset delivers a significant leap in CPU, GPU, and NPU performance, scoring over 1.1 million on AnTuTu benchmarks. This translates to seamless multitasking, enhanced gaming (including stable 120 FPS in popular titles), and robust AI capabilities.
- The realme 15 is no slouch either, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300+ chipset, also built on a power-efficient 4nm process. It promises smooth daily usage and solid gaming performance.
Both devices run on Android 15 out of the box, layered with realme UI 6, offering a clean and intuitive user experience. They also feature high-level dust and water resistance (IP69/IP68/IP66 ratings have been mentioned across sources), and robust internal cooling systems to maintain peak performance.
Pricing & Availability in India
The realme 15 series is available for pre-order now, with official sales kicking off on July 30.
- realme 15 Pro: Starts at INR 28,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant (inclusive of launch offers), going up to INR 35,999 for the top-tier 12GB/512GB model.
- realme 15: Kicks off at INR 23,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant (inclusive of launch offers), with the 12GB/256GB option priced at INR 28,999.
With these competitive prices, realme is clearly aiming to dominate the mid-range segment, offering a compelling blend of premium features, massive battery life, and smart AI integrations. The realme 15 series isn’t just an upgrade; it’s a statement that high-end experiences are becoming more accessible than ever.
