In this epic battle of the past and present iterations of the realme Number Series, who shall be the best pick, the more mature realme 9, or the current hotshot realme 10?
What a peculiar way to start the realme 10 Series launch with only one device: the vanilla realme 10. The 5G and 10 Pro+ will definitely launch down the line, but not today. The realme 10 debuted globally around a week ago with its mid-range specs and intriguing price point that delivers value for money (perhaps).
But now, the realme 9 users are also weighing down the options whether they will decide down the realme 10 route or not. Well, we are thinking the same thing. So let’s do this comparison and seal the arguments once and for all!

The Realme 10 4G’s design over its predecessor is one of the most obvious upgrades. It has flat edges like the most recent iPhones and a more basic appearance, making it more carefully managed and unique. The camera modules are highly stylish because they don’t require a separate camera island and instead fit right into the back cover.
Additionally, a unique gradient hue that changes based on light reflection is used on the backside. The Realme 9 4G is still a stylish and attractive phone, despite the fact that I personally prefer the more recent model.
In addition to having a punch hole display and a similar screen to body ratio to the current model, it also provides fantastic color selections. Contrary to high-end phones, both gadgets have a plastic body and are not constructed from high-quality materials.
The displays on the new Realme 10 4G and the more recent Realme 9 4G are identical. Therefore, it is better to concentrate on the other qualities if you want to know which one is perfect for you.
Both devices include an AMOLED display with a diagonal size of 6.4 inches, Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz, Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. Brilliant colors and deep blacks are displayed on a display that is excellent for a mid-ranger.
Although it has nothing to do with the image quality, there is a distinction between these two panels: the fingerprint reader. The 10 4G has a side-mounted sensor positioned on the power key, whilst the 9 4G has an in-display fingerprint reader.
Choose the Realme 10 4G if improved performance is what you’re after. It is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99, a better processor. It is a 6 nm production chipset with an octa-core architecture made up of six Cortex A55 CPUs operating at 2 GHz, two Cortex A76 CPUs with a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz, and a Mali G57 MC2.
Up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage are available in addition to the SoC. A subpar Snapdragon 680 4G chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM, and up to 128 GB of native storage are included in the Realme 9 4G. Both devices use Realme UI 3.0 on top of Android 12.
The Realme 9 4G is the winner of the camera comparison. A 108 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera make up the triple rear camera on this device. The main camera of the Realme 10 4G features a lower resolution of 50 MP, no ultrawide sensor, and only a 2 MP depth sensor. Each has a 16 MP selfie camera.
The 5000 mAh capacity of the batteries is the same, and the battery life varies just slightly. Even the charging rates, which use 33W fast charging, are the same.
