Realme, the midrange smartphone master, is rumored to be working on they first ever mid-range Realme Foldable as we speak.
Realme initially gained recognition in the smartphone industry by introducing budget devices. As a former Oppo sub-brand, it has rapidly grown into a highly popular brand. Today, Realme is well known across several segments of the smartphone market, including smart TVs, tablets, and more.
However, one category where Realme has yet to make a foray is the foldable smartphone segment. This rapidly-growing market is about to see an exciting new entrant as Realme prepares to launch its own foldable device.
One of the few reasons why we feel like most people do not use foldable smartphones is price. This is why Realme being the first brand to introduce a mid-range foldable phone could be huge.
To make it more interesting, Madhav Sheth, the Realme VP and President of Realme International threw some teasers on Twitter. He asked people if they would prefer a flip-style foldable phone, or a larger book-style folding phone.
Currently, there are only a handful of book-style foldable phones and a few flip phones available in the market. Among the two, flip phones are relatively less expensive than book-style foldable phones.
Realme might introduce a clamshell foldable phone soon, which has created noise on the internet. Mind you, its not just about the foldable phone, its also about who is making it.
Technology is still in the infant stage of foldable smartphones and expecting a mid-range foldable smartphone might be a hunch. What do you guys think?
