Prolific leakster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has revealed some intriguing details about a new realme phone. While the official name remains under wraps, speculation points towards the realme GT 7 Pro, the successor to the GT 5 Pro considering the missing Pro model in the GT 6 series.
The GT 7 Pro is rumored to boast a stunning 1.5K resolution display with subtle curves for a premium look. On the back,a square camera module in the top left corner is said to house a triple-camera system. The main attraction could be a 50MP multi-focal lens, alongside a powerful 3x periscope telephoto lens using the Sony IMX882 sensor. Interestingly, the phone might ditch the telephoto macro lens for a more streamlined setup.
DCS suggests a hefty battery life with a capacity around 6,000mAh, likely supporting 100W fast charging for quick power-ups. Security gets an upgrade too, with the GT 7 Pro potentially being the first Realme phone to sport an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
Durability is also a focus, with rumors hinting at IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. This means the phone should be able to handle splashes, spills, and even brief dips underwater. However, wireless charging support remains unconfirmed.
While DCS didn’t share many other details, the official launch in India is confirmed. The GT 7 Pro could potentially be the first phone globally powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, launching sometime in the final quarter of 2024.
