realme has officially confirmed the launch of its GT 8 series in China this October. The new flagship lineup, which includes the realme GT 8 and realme GT 8 Pro, is already available for pre-order and is expected to bring a significant number of upgrades over its predecessors.

Processor and Performance
The realme GT 8 series is highly tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. While some early leaks mentioned other processors, this chip is the most consistently reported choice, suggesting a focus on flagship-tier performance.
Camera System
The most significant camera upgrade is rumored for the realme GT 8 Pro, which is expected to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. This would be a first for the brand and marks a clear intent to compete with the top imaging flagships on the market. There are also reports of a collaboration with imaging brand Ricoh for the camera system.
Battery and Charging
Battery specs are a point of conflicting leaks. The realme GT 8 Pro is rumored to pack a large battery, with reports ranging from 7,000mAh to a massive 8,000mAh. Charging speeds are tipped to be either 100W or 120W, ensuring a fast refill regardless of the final capacity.
Display and Design

The GT 8 Pro is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 2K resolution. The series is also rumored to come with a new design, including an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a metal frame. Recent leaks suggest a circular camera module on the back of the Pro model, which contradicts some earlier renders.
Given these rumored flagship specs, would you consider buying the realme GT 8 Pro over a similar phone from Samsung or Xiaomi?
