nubia’s upcoming RedMagic 9S Pro gaming phone launches on July 3rd, and the mystery surrounding its upgrades is finally solved. Unlike its predecessor, the 9S Pro boasts an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This translates to a faster central processing unit (CPU) core clocked at 3.4 GHz (up from 3.3 GHz) and a 10% bump in graphics processing unit (GPU) frequency to 1 GHz.
The phone’s raw power was further confirmed by a recent Geekbench appearance.
While the LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage are carryovers from the 9 Pro, they ensure top-tier performance for multitasking and data transfer speeds. nubia also emphasizes “AI-powered” features, a common theme in today’s flagships, but specifics remain to be seen.
Design-wise, the RedMagic 9S Pro is expected to maintain the 9 Pro’s sleek aesthetic – a flat build with a smooth rear panel, free of camera bumps.
