REDMAGIC has officially unveiled its newest gaming tablet, and it’s packed with hardware built for serious mobile gamers.
The new REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 5 Pro succeeds last year’s Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, bringing Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset, an ultra-fast OLED display, active liquid cooling, and a massive battery. The tablet will also launch globally as the REDMAGIC Astra 2 Gaming Tablet.
REDMAGIC sticks to its transparent gaming design, showing off part of the tablet’s cooling system through the back panel. It also adds 11 customizable RGB LEDs, while the aluminum frame and flat rear design are meant to improve comfort during long gaming sessions.
Up front is a 9.06-inch 2.4K OLED display with up to a 185Hz refresh rate, making it one of the fastest screens available on a tablet. It also offers up to 1,600 nits peak brightness, SGS-certified eye protection, and a dedicated Synaptics touch controller with 2,000Hz instant touch sampling and 1ms touch latency.
Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 paired with the RedCore R4 gaming chip. REDMAGIC also includes its Energy Cube 3.0 AI engine, which automatically balances CPU, GPU, and memory resources for smoother gameplay.
The hardware supports 2K gaming and 144Hz frame interpolation in over 200 supported games.
One of the tablet’s biggest highlights is its active liquid cooling system.
It combines circulating liquid coolant, Liquid Metal 3.0, a vapor chamber, and multiple cooling layers to keep temperatures under control during long gaming sessions.
The Gaming Tablet 5 Pro packs an 8,300mAh battery with 80W fast charging and reverse charging support.
It also features dual USB-C ports, allowing users to charge comfortably while gaming. Both ports support bypass charging, sending power directly to the motherboard instead of the battery to reduce heat and battery wear.

The tablet goes on sale in China on June 30. REDMAGIC has also confirmed that the global version, called the REDMAGIC Astra 2 Gaming Tablet, will be officially introduced on July 17, when pricing and availability for international markets will be announced.
