Redmi 10C: Your Budget Gaming Phone

Maraming narelease na gaming phone this year (and we’re expecting more), but there’s always a budget-friendly version of the expensive things you always crave for. Enter Redmi 10C – a phone equipped with a Snapdragon 680, 5000mAh battery, a large 6.71” display, 1TB expandable storage, and a ton of other features that make it a good entry-level phone.

There’s nothing special about the design on the Redmi 10C, BUT with a 5000mAh battery, Redmi 10C still manages to be under 200g threshold for heavy phones. This phone is available in three colors: Graphite Grey, Mint Green, and Ocean Blue.

Targeted for younger consumers ang phone na ‘to with the material design. Textured ng diagonal lines ang rear panel, and a huge camera array houses the dual camera setup.

One of the best features of this phone is the 3.5 mm jack. Most days, phones are starting to remove this feature, but the Redmi 10C keeps it. Meron din naman wireless earbuds, but some high-quality audio equipment still come with cables.

The phone is a bit on the thick side, measuring 8mm. This phone measures 169.6 x 76.6 x 8.3 mm, and weighs only 190 grams.

The top of the phone is where the 3.5 mm jack is located. At the right profile, you’ll see the volume rocker button,

The Redmi 10C uses a 720×1650 resolution display. IPS LCD lang ang display, which is not bad at its price point. Pero kahit na 720×1650 lang ang size ng screen, it measures 6.71 inches across, and even has a Corning Gorilla glass protection.

The display on the Redmi 10C will support great viewing experience in apps and streaming services like Netflix at Amazon Prime Video. Or kahit wala ka subscription sa Netflix because of the recent changes sa company, this phone will make for a great device for viewing anything, mapa-Youtube or PornHub pa yan.

It’s only set at the default refresh rate of 60Hz, but this phone can also game.

The phone comes equipped with a Snapdragon 680. It’s one of the latest chipsets from the Snapdragon 600 series, and is quite capable when it comes to multitasking, unlike its predecessors.

According to Xiaomi, the Snapdragon 680 is an energy-efficient chip. The 6nm processor consumes less power, and can handle several apps at once. It’s paired with an Adreno 610 GPU. Mas matutuwa ang Mobile Legends players sa combination ng chipsets and the big screen.

The chipset will also require a massive battery. Since IPS LCD pa ang gamit ng Redmi 10C, we can expect that it’s going to drain the battery quickly. Buti nalang meron itong 5000mAh battery that charges with an 18W fast charger. This phone should last at least a day with moderate use, or around half a day if gaming sessions are a little intense. Gumagamit ang phone ng USB Type C for the charging cable.

In terms of sound, the phone is equipped with a mono speaker. It’s only one, but the company claims it’s louder and better by 40%. But speaker aside, this phone also includes a 3.5mm jack. It’s better than most phones today, dahil halos lahat gumagamit na rin ng wireless earbuds. Most good audio equipment for audiophiles will still have cables, so this 3.5mm jack is a huge bonus.

And if you like hoarding downloads from your favorite streaming sites, or kung mahilig ka mag video at 1080p@60fps, you’re going to need enough storage space. The Redmi 10C has 64GB and 128GB storage configurations and both are basic, so we’re just wishing Redmi could have added a little more. Don’t worry though, the storage is expandable, and it uses a UFS 2.2 for file transfer.

At PHP6000, you’re getting a phone that has a dual camera setup. The huge bonus is that this phone uses a 50MP for the main camera, and a 2MP depth sensor for the bokeh effect for better pictures.

Even with the two cameras, we’re pretty sure Redmi has an arsenal of different camera modes to compensate. This phone records videos up to 1080p@30fps, including the front camera. Meron na siyang 5MP for decent selfies and Tiktok clips.

There’s not much to the camera and it’s quite deceiving the first time you see the array. Parang quad camera ang datingan but it’s actually just two cameras beside a blank camera hole and a LED flash. However, the 50MP mode gives a boost to regular photos, increasing the resolution and subsequently the quality. This mode gives more details to a picture, perfect for either wide-angle, panoramic shots, or

Redmi 10C will be selling for PHP6,299 for the 4GB/64GB variant, and PHP7,299 for the 4GB/128GB variant. The phone was officially announced just a week ago and is already available in several online stores like Shopee and Lazada.
