Redmi is set to launch the 5G variant of its popular 14C series. Following the success of the 4G model, the 5G version is expected to offer a substantial performance boost and faster connectivity.
Redmi 14C 5G Geekbench listing:
As revealed on Geekbench, the Redmi 14C 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. This marks a significant upgrade from the Helio G81 Ultra found in the 4G model. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 delivers impressive scores of 917 and 2182 in single and multi-core tests, respectively, outperforming the 4G version’s scores of 418 and 1390.
The chipset’s 4nm process node ensures efficient power consumption, while its 6+2 core architecture provides a balance of performance and energy efficiency. The 14C 5G will also feature 8GB of RAM and Android 14, further enhancing its capabilities.
Based on previous reports, the Redmi 14C 5G is essentially a rebranded Redmi 14R 5G, which was launched in China earlier this year. It boasts a large 6.88-inch HD+ display, a 5160mAh battery, and a dual-camera setup on the back.
One of the key upgrades in the 5G version is the inclusion of UFS 2.2 storage, which offers faster app loading times compared to the eMMC storage in the 4G model.
The Redmi 14C 5G has already appeared on Xiaomi’s HyperOS source code and IMEI database, indicating that its launch is imminent.
Estimated price of the Redmi 14C 5G in Philippine Peso:
In terms of pricing, rumors suggest that the phone could be launched in India at a price range of Rs 10,000 to 12,000(~ PHP 6,866.56 to PHP 8,239.87). This would be comparable to the global pricing of the Redmi 14C 4G model, which was launched at PHP 4,999.
With all of this in mind, the Redmi 14C 5G promises to be a compelling option for those seeking a budget-friendly smartphone with 5G capabilities and improved performance.
