REDMI has officially launched the REDMI 17C 5G, bringing 5G connectivity, a 120Hz display, and a 6,000mAh battery to its budget lineup.
The phone arrives as the 5G counterpart to the REDMI 17C 4G and is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset. It was briefly listed by a European retailer earlier this month before its official unveiling.

The REDMI 17C 5G features a large 6.9-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 810 nits of peak brightness.
An 8MP selfie camera sits inside a waterdrop notch, while the rear uses a single 50MP main camera.
Under the hood is MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
Users can also expand the storage through the microSD card slot. The phone retains a 3.5mm headphone jack, giving wired-audio fans another reason to keep their old earphones around.
The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging.
That gives the REDMI 17C 5G a fairly straightforward formula for the budget segment: a big screen, 5G connectivity, and a large battery without pushing the hardware into higher price territory.
The phone also carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes.
On the software side, the REDMI 17C 5G runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
The combination gives the phone a newer software platform straight out of the box despite its budget positioning.
Price and availability
The REDMI 17C 5G is priced at SGD 279 (around ₱13,500*) in Singapore.
It comes in Black, Brown with a vegan leather finish, and Purple.
REDMI is expected to bring the 17C 5G to additional markets in the coming weeks, although pricing and availability for other regions have yet to be announced.
