The Redmi A2 and A2+, budget offerings from Redmi are soon to be released in India after it gets BIS certification
The Redmi A1 and A1+, two of Xiaomi’s spin-off brand’s most affordable smartphones, made their debut in the Indian market last year.
Later, the A1+ was introduced in the nation under the Poco C50 moniker and quickly became well-liked. Given that they have already received BIS certification, it now appears that the company is prepared to introduce the Redmi A2 series smartphones to India.

Two Redmi smartphones have been discovered by tipper Mukul Sharma on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ are said to be these devices. Although no details about the two smartphones’ specifications were disclosed by the listing, it does allude to a soon-to-be-held launch in India.
In a month or two, the Redmi A2 and A2+ could be available in the nation. However, the brand has not yet provided an official denial. Xiaomi is rumored to be focusing more on the entry-level market, where it currently holds the majority of the market share, so we might start seeing more affordable smartphones from the company.
This is due to the Chinese company’s difficult 2022, which saw it drop to third place in the Indian smartphone market. Vivo managed to claim the second spot, while Samsung was able to claim the top spot.
Recall that the most recent Redmi A1+ has a 6.52-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution. The MediaTek Helio A22 SoC, along with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, powers the smartphone.
The device has an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for photography on the back. There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. A 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 10W charging powers it.
