The REDMI K100 Pro Max has appeared in a new round of gaming tests ahead of its official launch, revealing more about its battery, performance, and efficiency. The latest results suggest Xiaomi isn’t just chasing higher benchmark numbers, but also better sustained gaming performance and longer battery life.
The gaming results were shared by REDMI Product Manager Xinxin_Mia, who highlighted improvements to the phone’s performance tuning. According to benchmark data from reviewer New Technology, the REDMI K100 Pro Max is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, paired with a dedicated D2 display chip and a 9,070mAh battery.
Xinxin_Mia said REDMI has further optimized the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 compared to previous implementations. The company also claims the new flagship delivers around 40% better battery life than its predecessor while maintaining more stable performance during extended gaming sessions.
The REDMI K100 Pro Max is scheduled to launch in China on August 11, slightly earlier than previously expected.
Gaming performance
The published gaming benchmarks cover several popular titles, showing how the phone performs under different workloads.
In Honor of Kings, the REDMI K100 Pro Max averaged 119.7fps during a 60-minute session while consuming only 3.63W of power. The device reached a maximum temperature of 41.5°C, indicating efficient power management even at high frame rates.
The phone produced similar results in Peace Elite, averaging 119.7fps with 4.09W power consumption. Temperature peaked at 44.4°C after extended gameplay.
For Delta Force, the device maintained an average of 119.5fps while drawing 5.37W of power. Despite the heavier workload, the maximum recorded temperature was 45.3°C.
The REDMI K100 Pro Max also handled Genshin Impact well, averaging 59.9fps with 4.67W power consumption and reaching 44.1°C during testing.
The most demanding title was Honkai: Star Rail, where the phone averaged 55.6fps, consumed 6.80W, and reached a peak temperature of 52.2°C. Even so, the published benchmark graphs suggest performance remained stable throughout the test despite the heavier workload.
More than just raw performance
Based on the published results, REDMI appears to be focusing on balancing performance, power efficiency, and thermal management rather than simply pushing for the highest frame rates.
With its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, dedicated D2 display chip, and massive 9,070mAh battery, the REDMI K100 Pro Max is shaping up to be one of the most gaming-focused flagship smartphones in Xiaomi’s lineup.
The company will officially unveil the REDMI K100 Pro Max in China on August 11, when its full specifications, pricing, and availability are expected to be confirmed.
