The Redmi K60 series is now undergoing design verification, and today a leaker disclosed a significant aspect of the entry-level smartphone in the lineup. The Xiaomi Redmi K60 will be powered by a Dimensity 8200 chip, claims Digital Chat Station.
The phone will also include a 48MP camera with OIS, however since 48MP available in a variety of sizes, we are unsure of which sensor will be used. This is the second time we’ve heard information about the next Mediatek chipset, which is meant to replace the Dimensity 8100.
The same source reported yesterday that the vivo iOQO Neo7 SE will utilize a processor with a Cortex-X2 CPU core clocked at 3.1 GHz, that’s near on par with the current Dimensity 9000! That’s like a flagship chipset in a mid range phone!
A QHD+ display and a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 30W wireless and 67W wired charging are also anticipated for the Redmi K60.
