Redmi K60 Gaming will feature new Dimensity 8200 chipset

MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 is a powerful upper-mid range chipset that graced phones from POCO X4 GT down to OnePlus 10R, now the 8200 will grace the K60 Gaming lineup from Redmi…

The Redmi K60 series is now undergoing design verification, and today a leaker disclosed a significant aspect of the entry-level smartphone in the lineup. The Xiaomi Redmi K60 will be powered by a Dimensity 8200 chip, claims Digital Chat Station.

The phone will also include a 48MP camera with OIS, however since 48MP available in a variety of sizes, we are unsure of which sensor will be used. This is the second time we’ve heard information about the next Mediatek chipset, which is meant to replace the Dimensity 8100.

The same source reported yesterday that the vivo iOQO Neo7 SE will utilize a processor with a Cortex-X2 CPU core clocked at 3.1 GHz, that’s near on par with the current Dimensity 9000! That’s like a flagship chipset in a mid range phone!

A QHD+ display and a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 30W wireless and 67W wired charging are also anticipated for the Redmi K60.

The Redmi leader said Xiaomi’s subsidiary brand would emulate Apple’s distinctive user interface by polling his fans on Weibo on whether they would prefer a Dynamic Island-style solution.
