Key details and pricing of the Redmi K80 Pro leaked in a livestream.
Redmi General Manager, Wang Teng, spilled the beans during a livestream on Douyin, China’s TikTok. First, there’ll be no Redmi K80E and the series will be a dual-flagship setup with Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro.
Now, the Redmi K80 Pro is a beast showcasing 3,016,450 points on AnTuTu 10. That’s a monster score as well as the phone’s ability to maintain such performance at the peak temperature of 49℃.
Don’t be too concerned about the temperature. Benchmarking often triggers all cores to accurately read performance but in real life, not many apps do that. Still, it’s interesting to know if the Redmi K80 Pro can maintain an acceptable range of below 45℃ during heavy load.
Teng also confirmed a few more intriguing details, including:
- HyperOS 2
- Enhanced gaming performance
- Improved touch response
- New system animations
Something bold was declared during the stream too. The general manager suggested that the Redmi K80 Pro has superior specs than the “yellow” competitor’s 13th model, perhaps a reference to iQOO 13.
He also added that the Redmi K80 Pro has a better price than the “red” competitor’s 13th model, possibly the OnePlus 13. This means that the Redmi K80 Pro is priced lower than the CNY 3,999 price tag of the iQOO 13 12+256GB and CNY 4,499 of the OnePlus 13.
Alongside the Redmi K80 Pro are two unidentified phones which scored 2.73 million and 2.83 million points, respectively.
