Xiaomi president Lu Weibing has confirmed on Weibo that the REDMI K90 Max will launch later this month in China. The device may be a renamed K90 Ultra or a separate model, though Xiaomi has not clarified.

The main feature is an active cooling fan with a larger diameter than competing phones. It delivers:
- 0.42 CFM air intake, about 30% higher than rivals
- Noise as low as 32dB at the lowest of three speeds

Xiaomi claims it can reduce temperature by 10°C in 100 seconds at maximum performance.
Despite the fan system, the phone retains strong durability with:
- IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance
The Redmi K90 Max is already open for reservations in China at CNY 9.9 (~$1.44). Buyers will receive a mystery gift package worth CNY 3,600 (~$523) at launch.

The phone is set to launch later this month, with more details expected soon.
