REDMI has officially confirmed that the REDMI K90 Max will launch on April 21 in China, following a series of teasers over the past week. The device will sit between the already available K90 and K90 Pro Max in the lineup.

Display and gaming focus
The REDMI K90 Max is confirmed to feature a 6.83-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. It is designed with gaming in mind, supporting over 40 titles at up to 165fps, along with optimizations for darker in-game environments to improve visibility.
Built-in cooling system
A major highlight is its fan-based cooling system, making it the first REDMI phone to include an in-built active cooling solution. The system uses a vertical air intake fan measuring 18.1mm, capable of delivering airflow up to 0.42CFM.
This setup is designed to significantly reduce temperatures in a short time, helping maintain performance during extended gaming sessions. The cooling system operates on a suspended structure, allowing it to function independently without interfering with the motherboard layout.
Despite the inclusion of a fan, the device retains IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The fan system also uses a metal bearing structure and has undergone extended lifespan testing for durability.
Performance and hardware
The device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, built on a 3nm process, and will include an independent graphics chip to further boost gaming performance.
It is also expected to pack a large 8,000mAh or 8,500mAh battery with 100W wired charging support.
Additional features include:
- Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
- Symmetrical dual speakers with custom tuning
- Refined industrial design with a metal frame
More devices launching alongside
The April 21 event will also introduce several other products, including:
- REDMI K Pad 2, powered by the Dimensity 9500
- REDMI Pad 2 SE, targeting the mid-range segment
- REDMI Book Pro (2026) laptops in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes
With its combination of high refresh rate display, active cooling, and flagship-grade hardware, the REDMI K90 Max is shaping up as one of the brand’s most gaming-focused devices to date.
