REDMI has officially confirmed that the REDMI K90 Ultra is on the way. Alongside the announcement, the company has also opened pre-reservations in China and revealed where the device will sit within its flagship lineup.
In a post shared on Weibo, REDMI confirmed that the K90 Ultra will make its debut in China later this month. While the company has yet to announce a specific launch date, interested buyers can already place pre-reservations ahead of its arrival.
Additional details were revealed by Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing, who confirmed that the REDMI K90 Ultra will be positioned below the REDMI K90 Max in the company’s lineup. He also indicated that the smartphone is expected to carry a price tag of around CNY 3,000, placing it in the upper mid-range to affordable flagship segment.
REDMI is positioning the K90 Ultra as a performance-focused smartphone aimed at users who prioritize gaming and sustained performance. According to the company, the device will feature flagship-grade hardware designed specifically for gamers.
While official specifications remain under wraps, recent leaks have painted a clearer picture of what to expect.
The REDMI K90 Ultra is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, giving it flagship-level processing power. Earlier reports also suggest the device could pack a massive 8,500mAh battery, making it one of the largest batteries ever fitted into a performance-oriented smartphone.
Another rumored highlight is the inclusion of an active cooling fan, a feature rarely seen outside gaming smartphones. If the leak proves accurate, the cooling system could help the device maintain higher performance levels during extended gaming sessions and demanding workloads.
Previous reports have also suggested that REDMI is positioning the K90 Ultra to compete directly with devices such as the Honor Win and Honor Win RT, both of which target performance-focused users.
