Early leaks of the REDMI K90 Ultra have outlined a clear set of key specifications that position the phone as a performance-focused flagship contender in 2026.

According to well-connected tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming device from Xiaomi’s sub-brand will emphasize power, endurance, and sustained performance especially for gaming and heavy use.

The REDMI K90 Ultra is tipped to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset, marking a departure from previous Ultra models that typically used “Plus” variants of MediaTek’s top chips. MediaTek reportedly has no plans to release a Dimensity 9500+ yet, so Redmi appears to be sticking with the standard 9500 for this model.
A standout detail in the leak is the inclusion of a built-in cooling fan, which would be the first active cooling solution in a Xiaomi-group smartphone if it arrives as described. This internal fan is aimed at improving heat dissipation during prolonged gaming or high-intensity workloads, helping the chipset maintain higher sustained performance without thermal throttling.
Battery size on the K90 Ultra is substantial. The phone is tipped to come with an 8,500 mAh battery, and sources indicate internal testing is ongoing to potentially push capacity even higher. Paired with this, the device is expected to support 100 W wired fast charging, likely with broad compatibility for high-power PPS standards.
Large battery capacity coupled with fast charging suggests REDMI is targeting extended usage sessions and minimal downtime, a trend increasingly seen in phones aimed at heavy users and gamers.
The leak points to a flat 6.8-inch display with a 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate up to 165 Hz. A higher 165 Hz refresh rate is above typical flagship standards and should contribute to notably smoother visuals in games and animations.
Other tipped features include a metal frame, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and full water resistance; consistent with REDMI’s effort to give Ultra-series phones a more premium feel. There’s no official confirmation yet on camera specifications in this leak, leaving imaging details unclear for now.
