Here are the five reasons why the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is a great buy, and the not-so-great ones.
The latest Redmi Note 14 Series is spearheaded by the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, which features AI perks, a Snapdragon chipset, and extra hardware for gamers. But are these upgrades really worth 23K SRP?

Let’s start with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, which scores over 750K AnTuTu points. It’s paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB onboard storage. At a glance, that’s a solid combination for hardcore gaming and demanding apps, but the chosen memory types for this device are disappointing.
Watching online content should be immersive with that 6.67-inch AMOLED panel and its 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. If you’re into hands-free entertainment, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G has stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. No 3.5mm headphone jack, however.

Optics is where the true power of this new Redmi offering lies. The rear camera setup consists of a 200MP OIS sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro lens, while the front-facing camera is a 20MP sensor. The main camera can do 4K videos but the selfie shooter is limited to 1080p.
Does the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G last the whole day? The 5110mAh battery capacity is enough for casual use but if you need to charge up quickly, no worries thanks to the 120W rapid charging.

If you love the outdoors, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is quite durable with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IP68 dust and water resistance. On top of that, the device sports LiquidCool technology to combat overheating.
Reasons Why It’s a Great Buy
- Amazing design and display
- Snapdragon chipset; preferred by many
- Google Gemini integration
- Packed with AI features for photography and productivity
- Brighter at 3000 nits over predecessor
Not-So-Great Reasons
- No HyperOS 2 out of the box
- No 4K 60FPS recording
- No telephoto sensor
- Miniscule battery capacity increase
- LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage for its price
The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G looked impressive outside but quite bland inside. It’s good to have a Snapdragon chipset yet it deserves Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for its price. The price is the real axing factor of this handset.
That said, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G remains a good alternative, alongside the TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G.
