REDMI is continuing to reveal more about the upcoming REDMI Note 17 Pro ahead of its official launch in China on July 14. The company has now confirmed the phone’s massive battery, fast charging capabilities, durable display, and a unique after-sales battery replacement program designed to keep the device running for years.
Massive 9,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging
One of the biggest highlights of the REDMI Note 17 Pro is its enormous 9,000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery, making it one of the largest batteries available in its class.
The battery has also earned TÜV SÜD’s five-star multidimensional battery quality certification, highlighting its durability and reliability.
For charging, the phone supports:
- 67W wired fast charging
- 22.5W wired reverse charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and even other smartphones.
Free battery replacement for up to five years
REDMI is also introducing a generous battery support program for customers who purchase the device during its first sale.
According to the company:
- If the battery health drops below 80% within the first four years, users will receive a free battery replacement.
- If battery health falls below 80% during the fifth year, REDMI will replace it with an even larger 10,000mAh battery, instead of another 9,000mAh unit, as long as the service requirements are met.
Bright 1.5K display built to survive drops
REDMI has also confirmed that the Note 17 Pro features a flat 1.5K display capable of reaching 3,500 nits of brightness under sunlight, making it easier to view outdoors.
For protection, the display uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has earned both SGS and CQC dual five-star drop resistance certifications.
According to REDMI, the phone successfully survived a 3-meter drop onto marble during testing.
The company also showcased the display enduring repeated impacts from various objects, including:

The REDMI Note 17 Pro carries:

It also received TÜV SÜD certification for surviving up to 72 hours underwater at a depth of 2 meters.
Previous teasers have also confirmed that the smartphone will feature dual stereo speakers and a power-efficient Snapdragon 6-series processor.
