Redmi rebranded into REDMI, signaling a product strategy shift

From Redmi to REDMI, the Xiaomi sub-brand takes a major step in identity and vision.

According to a report, the full capitalization is all about courage and confidence in the ever-competitive market, while the red color is the brand’s commitment to release performance-focused models at accessible price points. We can expect more affordable yet powerhouse REDMI smartphones moving forward.

REDMI’s new identity will debut on two series: the Turbo and the K.Series Evolution. The Turbo Series has already established itself with its top-tier performance and excellent value. The K.Series Evolution will begin with the K80 lineup having a big leap in terms of upgrades, compared to its predecessor.

The REDMI K80 Series comes in two models: K80 and K80 Pro. These two are powerhouses that scored over 3 million AnTuTu points.

The K80 scored 3,016,450 points on AnTuTu 10, showcased during a livestream earlier this month. It managed to maintain such a performance at 49℃ of peak temperature.

The K80 Pro, meanwhile, scored 3,194,766 points with Snapdragon 8 Elite and a D1 dedicated GPU. This device also boasts 2K CSOT M9 flat screen, Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance.

Affordability, performance, and consumer-focused innovation are now the pinnacles of the new REDMI era.
