REDMI may be preparing one of its most extreme smartphones yet. A new leak from Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has surfaced with additional details about an upcoming REDMI device believed to be the REDMI Turbo 6 Max, and the specifications point heavily toward battery life and flagship level performance.

Earlier this month, the same tipster revealed that REDMI was developing a smartphone equipped with a battery capacity exceeding 10,000mAh. At the time, chipset details were not mentioned.
The latest leak now expands on that information, claiming the device will indeed cross the 10,000mAh mark while also carrying flagship grade hardware.
According to the report, the alleged REDMI Turbo 6 Max may feature a 7 inch display with 2K resolution support.
The engineering prototype is also said to be powered by a 3nm Dimensity 9 series flagship processor.
Current speculation points toward either the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 or the Dimensity 9500s. For context, the existing REDMI Turbo 5 Max already uses the Dimensity 9500s platform.
Previous leaks surrounding the device also mentioned several additional flagship features.
The REDMI Turbo 6 Max is rumored to include:
- Ultrasonic in display fingerprint scanner
- Metal middle frame
- IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings
These additions suggest REDMI could be positioning the device above a typical battery focused midrange phone.
The smartphone is expected to debut before the end of this year, although Redmi has not officially acknowledged the device yet.
The leak also touches on REDMI’s broader smartphone roadmap.
Rumors surrounding the upcoming Redmi K100 series claim the lineup could launch earlier than expected, potentially arriving in September. The series is rumored to include:
- REDMI K100 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- REDMI K100 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- REDMI K100 Pro Max with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6
Meanwhile, REDMI is also reportedly preparing the REDMI Note 17 lineup, which may launch sometime in July or August this year.
