Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A27 5G for the global market, bringing meaningful upgrades to its mid-range lineup. Arriving as the successor to the Galaxy A26 5G, the new smartphone combines a smooth AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, a stabilized 50MP camera, and an impressive six years of software support.
Up front, the Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a resolution of 1080 × 2340, and up to 1,400 nits of peak brightness. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for added durability.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, featuring four Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at 1.8GHz, paired with an Adreno 710 GPU. The phone comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage, with support for microSD card expansion of up to 2TB.
The Galaxy A27 5G ships with Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out of the box. Samsung is promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates from the phone’s initial global launch. It also includes Samsung Knox and Knox Vault to provide hardware-level protection for sensitive data.
For photography, the phone features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 12MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
Other features include hybrid dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. The phone measures 162.4 × 78.2 × 7.8mm and weighs 200g.

The smartphone will be offered in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink color options. Samsung says the Galaxy A27 5G will begin rolling out in select markets starting July 3.
