Samsung has officially introduced the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and Samsung Galaxy A37 5G, expanding its Galaxy A lineup with a focus on AI features, improved cameras, and long-term software support.
The new devices are part of Samsung’s push to bring more advanced mobile experiences to a wider audience, including enhanced “Awesome Intelligence” features powered by One UI 8.5 based on Android 16.
AI features take center stage
Both phones introduce upgraded AI tools designed to simplify everyday tasks. A new Voice Transcription feature in the Voice Recorder app can transcribe and translate recordings or convert voicemail into text. AI Select allows users to quickly extract text or create content directly from the screen, including drag-and-drop support in multi-window mode for faster productivity.
Photo editing also gets a boost through AI. Object Eraser now produces more natural results when removing unwanted elements. On the Galaxy A57 5G, Best Face improves group shots by selecting the best expressions from multiple frames, while Auto Trim helps simplify video editing. Features like Filters and Edit Suggestions remain available for quick enhancements.
Search is also smarter with Circle to Search with Google, now supporting multi-object recognition. Samsung’s assistant ecosystem is expanded through an upgraded Bixby and integration with Gemini, enabling more natural interactions across apps and settings.
Camera upgrades with Nightography
The Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G both feature a triple-camera setup led by a 50MP main sensor, supported by ultra-wide and macro lenses. The A57 gets a 12MP ultra-wide, while the A37 uses an 8MP ultra-wide, with both including a 5MP macro camera and a 12MP front camera.
Samsung has improved image processing through a new ISP, delivering sharper and brighter photos across different lighting conditions. Nightography ensures clearer images in low light, while AI-powered scene recognition helps balance portraits and maintain natural skin tones.
The Galaxy A57 5G goes further with enhanced image processing for better detail, reduced noise, improved contrast, and faster shutter speeds for capturing moving subjects.
Display, design, and performance
Both devices feature 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED displays with up to 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster for better outdoor visibility. The A57 uses a Super AMOLED+ panel, while the A37 uses a standard Super AMOLED screen.
The Galaxy A57 5G stands out with a slimmer 6.9mm body and lighter 179g weight, compared to the A37’s 7.4mm thickness and 196g weight. The design includes a glossy finish and a refined triple-camera layout.
Under the hood, the Galaxy A57 5G delivers improved performance with upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU, making it suitable for streaming, multitasking, and content creation.
Battery, durability, and connectivity
Both models pack a 5,000mAh battery, with the Galaxy A57 5G capable of delivering up to two days of usage depending on usage patterns.
Durability is another highlight, with IP68 water and dust resistance, offering protection in everyday environments. Security is handled by Samsung Knox Vault, alongside features like the Security & Privacy Dashboard, Auto Blocker, Private Sharing, Theft Protection, and the new Private Album for securing personal media.
Samsung also adds Privacy Alerts, which notify users of potential risks related to permissions or suspicious activity.
Long-term software support
Samsung is offering up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security updates, reinforcing the longevity of both devices.
