Samsung Galaxy G Fold: First Galaxy tri-fold smartphone with 10” screen

The Samsung Galaxy G Fold may get a teaser in July and perhaps an official launch in 2026.

If the topic is about premium flagship smartphones, the processor, display, and camera modules are always top-tier. But this year, this segment may get a new definition with the introduction of powerful foldables.

Samsung is expected to enter the competition very soon with its own tri-fold smartphone. It was first teased during the Galaxy Unpacked event, labeled a “multi-fold” device.

Now, it’s dubbed the Galaxy G Fold and reportedly with a maximum screen of 10 inches when unfolded. That’s larger than the 7.6 inches of the Galaxy Z Fold6!

Samsung isn’t new in flexible OLED screens. The South Korean tech giant featured a 12.4-inch rollable device in the SID Display Week 2024 in Los Angeles.

The HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate currently leads the tri-fold arena with 10.2-inch screen, 16GB RAM, 1TB ROM, and Kirin 9010 processor. While it’s available in the Philippines and many other markets, it can’t be sold officially in the US like other HUAWEI devices due to a trade ban.

This is Samsung’s clear advantage with Galaxy G Fold and the only possible contender in this tier is the first foldable Apple iPhone.
