The Samsung Galaxy M55s inches closer to launch. The device has now appeared on a Geekbench listing with the model number SM-M558B, further confirming its identity as a successor to the Galaxy M55, aka SM-M556.
The Geekbench results are, surprisingly unsurprising. All indications are that it has retained the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and 8GB RAM configuration as its predecessor. While disappointing, Samsung has usually featured upgrades in camera and battery departments for the “s” models. A case in point is the Galaxy M31s and M30s.
Given the already very good M55’s 50MP primary shooter with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, and unique 50MP selfie camera, there might be even more room for improved image quality. Similarly, a bigger battery or faster charging speeds could be on tap. Though recent certifications have so far only to yield details of the battery, we think that an official announcement shouldn’t be too far away.
Updates will follow as soon as the release of the Galaxy M55s draws near.
