The Galaxy AI adds new tools to improve the day-to-day experience of Galaxy S24 Ultra owners.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the premium model of the series for a reason. It brings the maximum AI capabilities for mobile to the user’s hand. Here, we highlighted the new AI features for the camera, photo editing, and more.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra has a powerful camera app already but Samsung added more so users can get the most out of every moment.
- Adaptive Pixel Sensor lets the 50MP lens to optical zoom at levels 2x, 3x, 5x, and 10x, with 100x possible via enhanced digital zoom.
- Dedicated ISP Block for noise reduction when recording using the front or rear cameras.
- Gyro data analysis allows the device to distinguish the user’s movement from the subject’s.
For post-processing, the Galaxy AI offers a variety of tools to improve captures, such as erase, re-compose, and remaster. Edit Suggestion lets the AI propose suitable tweaks for every photo.
Generative Edit provides more creative freedom for users by allowing them to fill specific parts of an image background. If the user wants to slow down an action-filled clip, they can use the Instant Slow-mo to generate more frames based on movements from the source. The outcome is expected to yield a more detailed view.
HDR is a handy tool for balancing light and darkness, so Samsung improved on it by introducing the Super HDR. This version generates previews to give users choices before the shutter is pressed.
New assistive features brought by Galaxy AI include:
- Live Translate: Two-way, real-time voice and text translations without needing any third-party apps. On-device AI keeps conversations private.
- Interpreter: Live conversations of people standing opposite of each other can read what the other person has said via text transcription.
- Transcript Assist: Transcribe, summarize, and translate recordings using AI and speech-to-text technology.
Some of these AI features are available across Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, only Galaxy S24 Ultra gets the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in all markets.
