The ongoing debate about the chipset powering Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 series has finally been settled. Recent reports from South Korea confirm that the entire Galaxy S25 lineup, including the standard, Plus, and Ultra models, will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor globally. This decision is reportedly aimed at maximizing the series’ performance.
While the Exynos 2500 chipset was initially rumored to be the exclusive choice for the Galaxy S25, Samsung has opted to prioritize Snapdragon for the flagship series. The Exynos 2500 will instead be utilized in the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7, which are slated for release in the second half of 2025. This marks a departure from the previous trend of using Snapdragon chips in Samsung’s foldable devices.
The decision to delay the Exynos 2500’s deployment in the foldables allows Samsung to focus on improving its yield and ensuring stable performance before its official launch. This strategic move suggests that the company is committed to delivering a high-quality experience with its foldable devices.
