The Snapdragon 8 Elite custom flagship chipset for the Galaxy S25 Ultra displayed shocking benchmark results.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has appeared again on Geekbench. This time, it showed up with the speculated Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite having a higher CPU frequency.
According to a report, the alleged flagship has a model number SM-S938B that bears an eight core CPU with a base frequency of 3.53 GHz. Six of the cores are clocked at that frequency while the other two are monsters at 4.47 GHz.
It scored 3,011 points on single-core performance and 9,706 points on multi-core performance. The same model that was previously benchmarked scored 3,069 and 9,080 points on respective settings.
This should not come as a surprise because Samsung tends to equip its Galaxy S flagship models with overclocked processors for maximum potential. This gives owners access to unlimited performance for very demanding tasks.
This unnamed processor is likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite custom chip for Galaxy only. Previously, the Galaxy S25 has been reported unable to use Samsung’s Exynos 2500 due to low yield, which would push Snapdragon Snapdragon 8 Elite exclusivity.
By the way, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is no more as a recent report revealed that it’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and it will power the upcoming Xiaomi 15 flagship smartphone.
We’ll know more during this year’s Snapdragon Summit.
