Samsung Lists Galaxy M13 on Their Website

Just a few days ago, Samsung quietly released the official product images of the long-awaited Galaxy M13. The Samsung Galaxy M13 has been a discussion topic since October of last year, and its official listing on Samsung’s website will excite fans of the Galaxy M series.

The one radical difference the M13 has over the M12 is the new camera module. Last year, the Galaxy M12 had a quad-camera setup featuring a 48MP main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP cameras.

The Galaxy M13 on the other hand has a triple camera setup – a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera for scenic shots, and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is decent too, at 8MP f/2.2.

App navigation and user experience are expected to be smooth thanks to the Exynos 850 chip – in Snapdragon terms, that would be equivalent to or at least close to Snapdragon 665. However, this chipset underperforms compared to Helio G85.

The Galaxy M13 comes with 4GB of RAM with either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage and is powered by a 5000mAh battery. Based on the capabilities of the Exynos 850, the Galaxy M13 will like come with an FHD+ display, which will make the device a perfect Netflix viewing machine.

The phone can only reach network speeds of up to 4G/LTE, but a 5G variant of the device should come out soon. Other features that consumers can expect from the device include a 2K video recording at 30fps and a 90Hz refresh rate on the display. Sadly, this phone will not yet have a UFS 2.2 or even 3.1 transfer protocol, which could have made it a slightly better phone than its predecessor.

There’s no official pricing for the Galaxy M13 yet, but the phone is expected to be in the PHP11,500 to PHP13,000 range.
