Samsung might drop the S25 FE early, but not as early as you’d think. Technically, it’s still early, but not by much. Historically, FE versions of current S phones have dropped around late September (specifically September 26). But a new report seems to indicate a shift in that timeline.

What changed?
Instead of a September 26 launch, the S25 FE is rumored to be announced on September 19, a full week earlier than the date the S23 FE was launched. Again, we’d like to remind our readers that these are only leaks and are to be taken with a grain of salt. Nothing is final until Samsung announces the real date.
If the leaks are to be believed, what could possibly be the reason for the early launch, considering it’s just a week ahead? One theory seems to point to a potential shift in Samsung’s strategy, aiming to get the watered-down version of their S25 line into consumers’ hands sooner.
S25 FE’s Tech Specs
Before we get into the leaked pricing, which was also discussed in the leak, let’s go over the specs of the upcoming S25 FE.
- Chipset: The S25 FE will use Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400 chipset, continuing the FE’s tradition that started with the S22 FE.
- Display: Similarly sized to the S25+, the S25 FE uses a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus.
- Camera: Just like the base S25, the S25 FE will have a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide, and an 8 MP telephoto lens, plus a 12 MP front-facing camera for selfies.
- Battery: Powering all of that is a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 15W wireless charging. Whether Samsung will use Silicon Carbon for the battery remains to be seen, but we’re not holding our breath seeing Samsung’s refusal to use the battery technology.

How much will the S25 FE be?
Now for the juicy part: the price. Based on the reports where the date leaked, the S25 FE is rumored to be offered under KRW 1,000,000 (or under PHP 41,000). Take note that prices are subject to change depending on the exchange rates and tariffs, plus if there are launch discounts that Samsung will use to woo consumers.
Final thoughts
We’re not sure how the S25 FE will fare in the upper mid-range market, considering there are a lot of phones with identical performance at a lower price. But if there’s something we could count on, it’s Samsung’s premium build, capable camera, and stellar software support.
What do you think?
Would you buy the S25 FE or opt for cheaper, more powerful options?
