Samsung heading to affordable 5G smartphone offerings hinted at the recently spotted 5G models.
The first Samsung Galaxy A0X series with 5G may launch very soon! Two devices were found in the GSMA database with model numbers SM-A066B/DS and SM-A066M/DS.
Despite the lack of info about key specs, the model numbers have “5G” attached to them, indicating a more powerful processor to support the network. These devices are speculated to be Galaxy A06 5G variants.
According to a report, Samsung’s move to widen affordable 5G smartphone series has many advantages, including:
- Higher better data transfer speeds
- Wider options for budget-conscious consumers
- Extended software support period
The Galaxy A06 5G likely shares the same specs with the Galaxy A06 4G except for the processor. That said, the Galaxy A06 4G is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 and features a 6.7-inch display, two rear cameras, and 5,000mAh battery.
The 4G model is now available for purchase and priced at 6K. The 5G model may be priced at 7K upon launch. If this is an affordable 5G smartphone, it may be powered by a 5G-ready MediaTek or Unisoc processor. But we’ll update you once we know more.
