A Samsung Galaxy A14 smartphone with 5G connection is currently under development. It first appeared on Geekbench with an undisclosed Exynos chipset, but a subsequent listing showed the model is also getting a variant version with a Mediatek platform.
From recent reports, an SM-A146P phone with Dimensity 700 scored lower that the Exynos brother both in terms of single-core and multi-core performance.
According to Geekbench, the Samsung phone with Mediatek power will have a 4GB RAM option and come pre-installed with Android 13. Although the underwhelming results of 522 for a single core and 1,710 for multiple cores may in part be related to unfinished software, they still indicate that a more cheap version may be in the works for some markets.
Judging from some leaked renders, the Galaxy A14 will feature three rear cameras, one front camera hidden below a waterdrop notch, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It will likely be the same for both models, with the only distinctions being the pricing and the chipset.
