The firmware for the rumored Galaxy Z Flip FE surfaced and all that remains is Samsung’s official announcement.
According to a post on X, the firmware on Samsung’s OTA servers revealed the model number of its target device. That’s SM-F761B and this is very close to the first Galaxy Z Flip having the model numbers SM-F707B for global, SM-F707U for the US, SM-F707N for South Korea, and SM-F7070 for China and Hong Kong.
It also shares the first letter after SM with Galaxy Z Flip6: SM-F741B, SM-F741B/DS, SM-F741U, SM-F741U1, and more. That unconfirmed device is simply waiting for Samsung’s official announcement.
But what about the letter B? A report suggested that it denotes a variant, specifically the European model. The EUX in parenthesis indicated that too! EUX means European nations in the eurozone, contrast to EUY or European nations not in the eurozone.
So, what is known about the Galaxy Z Flip FE? It’s expected to have:
- 6.7” AMOLED panel
- HD+ resolution
- 120Hz refresh rate
- 2600 nits of brightness
- Ultra Thin Glass protection
- Exynos 2400 processor
- Up to 12GB of RAM
- Up to 256GB of storage
As for the launch, we may see the Galaxy Z Flip FE debuting in the second of the year. It’s likely going to get multi-year software support and a price tag below its flagship counterpart.
