Samsung to replace “settings” app with AI, what does this mean?

Want to change the volume, brightness, wallpaper, theme, and more? AI will give you a “helping hand.”

Samsung to replace settings app with AI.

Why replace the “Settings” app?

According to a report, Samsung is developing an AI to handle the Settings app for you. This AI system will analyze your behavioral patterns and interactions in real time. Then, assists you in making changes fast and easy without entering the said app.

This futuristic approach is handy for techies and those who enjoy hands-free experience. But for others, it will be a shocker, especially if the Settings app icon is removed.

AI integration in smartphones and other devices isn’t new anymore, with brands left, right, and center going all-out. AI functionality is more apparent on the Camera app, which uses an imaging algorithm to detect the subject for the best possible image.

For instance, when you point the camera to a paper, it automatically proceeds to Document mode. If it detects a person, it may choose Beauty mode or Portrait mode for stunning results.

Samsung’s Galaxy AI, spearheaded by the Galaxy S24 Series, offers a variety of useful tools, including:

  • Circle to Search for quick finds of relevant information.
  • FlexCam for auto zooming.
  • Note Assist for convenience note summarization.
  • Live Translate for real-time translation during calls.
  • Photo Assist for automated assistance when taking photos.
