If the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 isn’t flashy enough, the Samsung W23 Series will probably convince you otherwise…
Last year’s Samsung W22 is a luxurious version of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 made for China for those who want to splurge on something really special (visually).
The Samsung W23 5G is no exception, as this is a customize variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 4. Based on the leaked teaser poster, the company will also launch the W23 Flip and both will be sold exclusively through China Telecom.
Both Samsung W23 5G and W23 Flip will feature gold hinges, and a logo written in Mandarin that says “heart to the world.” Akin to the W-Series specials from the past, these premium revamps were made to be sold for raising money for charity.
Last year’s Samsung W22 5G was offered at around a massive $2,372 price tag or ₱139,740 when converted to pesos. You can buy a decent plot of land with that! But yeah sure, it’s for charitable causes, so we kind of respect that. The Samsung W23 5G / W23 Flip is expected to be priced the same.
As for the specs, you better have the latest tech with that amount of money and those who will purchase it will get what they expect: a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor right on the bat will power both models, with the Samsung W23 5G being the foldable one with a 7.6-inch display; while the W23 Flip on the other hand is going to have a clamshell form factor with 6.7-inch of screen real estate.
The triple-cam rear setup (50MP main + 12MP ultra-wide + 12MP telephoto rear / 10MP + 4MP under display front) will likely fall to the Samsung W23 5G while the W23 Flip will have the 12MP main and 12MP ultra-wide.
