Samsung is ready to launch the most luxurious versions of its foldables. The company has officially teased the China-exclusive Samsung W26 Series, with the announcement locked in for October 11, 2025.

These W-series phones are the ultimate statement pieces, ultra-premium variants of the recently launched global Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
W26: More Than a Rebrand
The W26 series is a collaborative line with China Telecom. While core specs like the chipset and display technology mirror the global Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, the key difference is the top-tier finish and exclusivity.
The upcoming W26 (Fold) and W26 Flip (Clamshell) are expected to debut with a luxury-focused design highlighted by a Gold Armor Aluminum Frame and exclusive custom finishes not seen on standard Galaxy Z models, while also packing maxed-out specs with the highest RAM and storage configurations traditionally offered in the series.
Samsung will unveil the foldables at its “Heart of the World” event, cementing the lineup’s position as a status symbol in the competitive Chinese market.
The Bigger Foldable Context
The W26 series launch maintains the current folding design, but it happens under the shadow of a potentially bigger reveal. Industry rumors suggest Samsung’s first true multi-folding device, the Galaxy Z TriFold, may be showcased later in October at the APEC Summit.
For foldable enthusiasts, October 2025 is now packed: high-end luxury first, followed by the future of the category.
If the W26 Series (with its Gold Armor Aluminum frame) were available globally, would you buy it over the standard Galaxy Z Fold 7/Flip 7?
