Samsung‘s next flagship chip is showing much higher clock speeds than an earlier leak suggested. A new Geekbench AI listing believed to be for the Exynos 2700 shows its fastest CPU core reaching 4.24GHz.
The result comes from an engineering device identified as S5E9975 ERD, which matches the platform seen in an earlier Geekbench test.

CPU clocks get a major boost
The new listing shows the same 1+4+1+4 CPU layout, but with significantly higher frequencies:
- 1 core: 4.24GHz
- 4 cores: 3.74GHz
- 1 core: 3.36GHz
- 4 cores: 2.88GHz
An earlier April listing had the CPU running between just 2.30GHz and 2.88GHz.
The new 4.24GHz peak puts the Exynos 2700 much closer to the 4GHz-plus clock speeds used by Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon chips.
However, this doesn’t mean the Exynos 2700 will automatically outperform Snapdragon. Clock speed is only one part of overall performance, and this is still an engineering sample.
Same chip, higher clocks
The CPU identifier, implementer 65, part 3478, matches the previous test. The platform also carries the same S5E9975 ERD tag, has around 10.67GB of usable RAM, and runs Android 17.
The CPU part number has been linked to Arm’s unreleased “Canyon” core, which is believed to be the C2-Ultra, successor to the C1-Ultra used in the Exynos 2600. That connection remains unofficial.
No CPU score this time
Unlike the previous Geekbench 6 test, this is a Geekbench AI result, so it doesn’t provide standard single-core or multi-core CPU scores.
Instead, the listing gives us a look at the processor’s configuration and clock speeds while testing on-device AI performance.
The Exynos 2700 is also rumored to use Samsung’s 2nm process and could power the upcoming Galaxy S27 series, but Samsung has yet to officially confirm these details.
For now, the biggest takeaway is simple: the Exynos 2700 is running much faster than its first benchmark suggested, with a reported 4.24GHz peak clock. The final retail chip could still have different specifications.
