The innovative Samsung rollable phone is rumored to be arriving in 2025.
On one side of the globe, one has been busy showcasing a new camera button. But on the other side of the globe, one presented a smartphone with three screens, and it seems it attracted a different kind of attention.
According to reports, Samsung may go toe-to-toe with HUAWEI in terms of foldable smartphones with more than two screens. Not only will it show the future of smartphones, but it will also demonstrate it in a much bigger fashion.
The reports suggested that Samsung’s rollable smartphone will have a larger display, compared to the HUAWEI tri-fold: the Mate XT Ultimate. If the latter has a 10.2-inch maximum stretch, the former will sport 12.4 inches.
This 12.4-inch rollable device might be the same one featured at the SID Display Week 2024 in Los Angeles. Moreover, the device also features an under-display camera, which the HUAWEI’s tri-fold doesn’t have.
This isn’t the first time Samsung has worked on flexible screens. In 2019, the tech giant launched the Galaxy Fold 5G. Last year, at SID Display Week as well, the company demoed a prototype of a rollable screen and it looks promising.
For now, you can check out the specs of the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate below.
