Should you upgrade to the newest TECNO CAMON 30 Series from CAMON 20?

The TECNO CAMON 30 Series is an excellent upgrade deal for CAMON 20 users. But if you have some extra, go for the Premier.

The TECNO CAMON 30 Series is officially available for purchase and you can easily find amazing price cuts via ongoing live-streams as we speak.

But since you’re here, you’re likely curious or a proud owner of the predecessor TECNO CAMON 20. So, is the new CAMON worth upgrading to?

The TECNO CAMON 20 Series introduced an amazing design having masterful aesthetics that represent a modern minimalist vibe. However, TECNO leveled up in the CAMON 30 Series and gave the lineup a more solid theme.

What’s the major reason for upgrading your TECNO CAMON 20? The TECNO CAMON 30 is 5G-ready and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset. It also has more capable cameras and charging support.

Let’s compare them:

As you can see, the TECNO CAMON 30 5G made a big jump from its predecessor. The display, storage capacity, front camera, and charging rate have been upgraded.

Besides 5G, the raw performance of the Dimensity 7020 is light-years away compared to Helio G85. This Dimensity CPU currently scores over 471K on AnTuTu, trampling the over 265K of the G85.

You can play more games on the new CAMON smartphone and even take advantage of the 120Hz refresh rate for 120 FPS gaming experience.

Did you see the charging speed? It’s now at 70W! This gives you about less than an hour to fully charge the TECNO CAMON 30 5G – play more, charge less.

There are two TECNO CAMON 20 Pro phones that arrived in PH: 4G and 5G variants. There’s also an “s” version that came out much later. But let’s have a specs recap of first CAMON 20 Pro variants:

These two CAMON 20 Pro handsets are similar in so many ways with a few differences. The higher CPU, Dimensity 8050, remains powerful with over 752K points on AnTuTu.

Why upgrade to CAMON 30 Pro? Bigger, better, and faster. The TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G is powered by the Dimensity 8200 Ultimate, which currently scores over 910K on AnTuTu. It can handle games at higher visual fidelity and FPS than its predecessors.

It’s also bigger with a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that supports 144Hz refresh rate – go max FPS in action and shooting games. The battery remains at 5000mAh but the charging rate has increased to 70W.

The rear cameras are composed of 50 + 50 + 2MP sensors while the selfie camera is now a 50MP shooter. You can now record 4K at 60 FPS on the rear camera with the TECNO CAMON 30 Pro 5G.

For the newer, slightly modified TECNO CAMON 20s Pro 5G, here’s a quick comparison:
