We’ve compiled the mid-range phones with a price tag of 10K and lower and where they fall in our smartphone tier list.
We’ve covered the 20K and 30K categories so it’s only fitting to give the 10K category its own. Here, the key factor is price and the specs are random, with some having a 5G processor, AMOLED panel, and higher display resolutions.
itel P65 (Super Sulit)
itel’s first mecha-themed offering of the year. Under the armored visual, the itel P65 is powered by the Unisoc T615, 4 GB RAM, and 128 GB ROM. It already runs the latest Android 14 with itel OS 14 on top. Compared to most entry-level models, this one boasts 120 Hz refresh rate for up to 120 FPS on games.

TECNO SPARK 20 Pro 5G (Super Sulit)
The TECNO SPARK 20 Pro 5G is a peek into the new premium looks of the brand’s upcoming entry-level devices. This sleek handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080, giving it 5G potential. It’s also equipped with 8 GB RAM, 256 GB and 5,000 mAh battery. If you want a budget-friendly phone with 5G and 1080p screen, consider this during the sale season.

TECNO POVA 6 Neo (Super Sulit)
Crafted with a futuristic theme and big battery, the TECNO POVA 6 Neo is an affordable tanky smartphone powered by Helio G99 Ultimate. Depending on the season and platform, you’ll see this with an SRP of 7K or higher. The massive battery capacity is traded with a 4G limitation. But if you want a budget-friendly handset that can play games and last more than a day, hunt for the best promo for this one.

realme Note 50 (Super Sulit)
realme’s most affordable offering is the realme Note 50, powered by Unisoc T612. For a starting price of PHP 3,599, it’s a good buy for casual users who want an all-day handset with slim profile and a bit of durability. What some may find a bit odd, for that low price, is the meager 64 GB of onboard storage. This means limited apps because you can no longer move apps to the SD card. Only pics, music, movies, and other files are allowed to be stored on the card.

itel P55 5G (Super Sulit)
Looking for an affordable 5G, consider the itel P55 5G, powered by the Dimensity 6080. It has a modest memory capacity of 6 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM, and is equipped with a 50 MP main camera and 5,000 mAh battery. For its price, it appears balanced in terms of performance, display quality, camera, and charging. This is a low-cost choice for those wanting a 5G-ready handset.

Redmi 13 (Maganda Na)
The Redmi 13 only needed two to get a better rating. But it was released with just MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra and a single speaker for its price. The phone with 7,000 mAh, see above, beats this one price-wise.

vivo Y28 (Maganda Na)
The 720p display and MediaTek Helio G85 are main reasons why vivo Y28 landed on this tier. If the processor is 5G-ready, the display is forgivable considering the big battery, charging rate, and ingress protection.

POCO M6 (Maganda Na)
Another powered by Helio G91 Ultra, the POCO M6 has good points like the camera, max storage capacity, and display. It fell short on audio, protection, network, and pricing. But if you’re a POCO fan, this isn’t too bad. Highly recommended to buy this on sale.

Infinix NOTE 40 Pro (Maganda Na)
Also powered by Helio G99 Ultimate, the Infinix NOTE 40 Pro is a 4G handset with an AMOLED panel. It’s quite expensive for an entry-level model but the screen, camera, and charging speed make up for it. But add a few thousands and you’ll have access to 5G-ready models.

Infinix NOTE 40 (Maganda Na)
Compared to the pro version, the Infinix NOTE 40 features nearly everything. But it’s more affordable and has a bigger battery in exchange for a slightly slower charging speed. However, it’s still a bit pricey for an entry-level phone.

nubia Neo 2 5G (Maganda Na)
The nubia Neo 2 5G sits on the thin line between entry-level and mid-range smartphones. It’s 5G ready and is powered by the Unisoc T820. It’s also marketed as a gaming phone and even sports exclusive gaming trigger zones. The handset is so-so for its price.

CHERRY Aqua S11 Pro (Maganda Na)

Redmi Note 13 (Maganda Na)
Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets are more popular than their MediaTek counterparts, but even the Redmi Note 13 on Snapdragon 685 isn’t as dashing. Its other specs are great for its price but Redmi could have used Helio G99 Ultimate instead if the plan is 4G only. If performance isn’t a big deal, this handset remains a fair choice.
