Rumor has it that this new chip could be none other than the highly anticipated Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1. But that’s not all! There are whispers that Qualcomm is working on not one, but two Snapdragon 7-series chips.
The first one, SM7550, is due to make its grand entrance in the latter half of this year, and we suspect it’ll be called the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2. And as for the SM7475? Brace yourselves for the Snapdragon 7+ 1! Stay tuned, tech lovers, because this is going to be one wild ride.
Gossips going around claim that big-name brands like Redmi, Realme, Honor, Oppo, and Vivo are gearing up to launch some seriously snappy phones with the highly anticipated Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 under the hood as well.
And who’s leading the pack? None other than the Redmi Note 12T Turbo and Realme GT Neo 5 SE! In fact, the Note 12 Turbo is rumored to be getting a global makeover and rebadged as the Poco F5, making it the first Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 phone to hit markets outside of China.
But wait, there’s more! If the reports are true, this 4nm chipset, manufactured by TSMC, is going to blow your mind. With a powerhouse configuration that includes a Cortex-X2 prime core clocking in at a whopping 2.95GHz, three Cortex-A510 cores cruising at 2.5GHz, and four Cortex-A710 cores chugging along at 1.8GHz, this chipset means business.
And let’s not forget about the 580 Hz Adreno 725 GPU for next-level graphics. In fact, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 even flexed its muscles and scored an impressive 1,029,731 on AnTuTu benchmarks last month. On Geekbench, it scored 1215 on the single-core score and 4064 on the multi-core. Who needs a superhero when you’ve got the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 1 on your side?
