Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro confirmed ahead of 2026 flagships

The tech world is just digesting the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Yet leaks are already pointing to its successor. The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 lineup is expected, with particular attention on a “Pro” variant that may redefine flagship mobile chips.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Series Leak

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro confirmed ahead of 2026 flagships

Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) reveals that the Gen 6 series will come in two versions: a standard and a Pro model. Both are said to use TSMC’s N2P 2-nm process and a 2+3+3 core CPU layout.

The Pro variant is expected to support LPDDR6 memory and deliver higher GPU performance. The standard version will likely offer cost-controlled specs while still delivering very strong performance.

If these leaks are accurate the phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro could bring flagship class performance in more devices. Upgrades like a true 2-nm process and faster memory will translate into better AI features, faster app loading and smoother gaming.

For smartphone buyers this means games will run more smoothly, cameras will process faster and phones might handle heavy tasks with less heat and longer endurance. For phone makers this chip opens doors to differentiate premium models beyond just cameras and screens.

Since the naming splits into standard and Pro buyers will need to check the exact variant. A “Gen 6” label alone won’t guarantee top tier specs. The Pro version will likely carry a higher price tag, so pricing will matter a lot.

Another caution: the standard version may lag behind the Pro in memory speed and GPU sustained performance. That means two phones labeled Gen 6 might deliver different experiences.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro looks like Qualcomm’s bid to keep the flagship space exciting just as competitors push harder. If it delivers on leaks 2026 could bring phones that feel much more capable not just in specs but in everyday use.

These remain leaks until real devices arrive and reviewers test them. But if performance matters to you this is a chipset worth keeping on your radar.

Which feature matters most to you in the next Snapdragon flagship?
