Snapdragon 8 Gen3 Will Run High Graphics Games like Butter.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen3 will significantly impact the level of processing high graphics games, with higher frequency and better architecture.

Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen3 architecture significantly improved over its predecessor, Snapdragon 8 Gen2. The new chip has a unique (1+5+2) core configuration, consisting of a speedy X4 mega-core. It clocked at up to 3.7GHz, and five A720 performance cores clocked at up to 3GHz. Additionally, two A520 efficiency cores clocked at up to 2 GHz.

Basically, this new configuration replaces the 1+4+3 architecture used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen2. It does this by replacing a small core with a large core, resulting in better performance.

Additionally, the GPU of the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 has improved to Adreno 750. This could offer 50% better performance than its ancestor, the Adreno 740, used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen2. The new chip provides a 25% increase in graphic rendering and a 45% increase in power efficiency for its GPU.

They improved by testing the unit at much higher frequencies and using TSMC’s N3 process, known for its extreme power efficiency. The new architecture and tech bring a decent output bonus, which could result in the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 hitting 1.5 million points in the AnTuTu running score.

Furthermore, it could continue leading the GPU performance space. According to a leaked benchmark, it also has better GPU performance than Apple’s A16 Bionic. However, benchmarks do not always apply to the actual performance.

Apple optimizes its software for a few hardware profiles to use different resources than Android on Snapdragon.

Overall, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3 architecture will likely significantly impact processing high graphics games, as it offers substantial performance advancements over its predecessor, which is currently powering the latest Android flagship phones. It may be a worthy rival to Apple’s A16 Bionic in terms of GPU performance, although the real-world performance may differ from benchmarks.
