iOS 17.0.3 getting blamed for a mysterious behavior by some iPhone owners.
With today’s fast-paced living, we sorely depend on alarms to get to school or work on time. Thanks to technology, we can set various alarms easily on our smartphones. But what will you do if your phone turns off randomly at night?
That’s the situation of some iPhone users who reported a mysterious bug on their devices. According to a Redditor, their phone turned off for four hours overnight and estimated that time between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m.
As shown above, there’s a huge gap in the battery monitor. The Redditor also claimed that the device booted up around half an hour before the alarm went off.
To be fair, whether it’s Android or iOS, any smartphone, tablet, and computers may restart from time to time to fix issues after encountering bugs.
However, other Redditors responded that the iPhone alarm issue is linked to iOS 17.0.3. The problem also seems not limited to newer iPhones. One Redditor even complained about an alarm problem on two different iPhones.
There’s a lot of things shrouded in mystery about this. On one hand, an iPhone shuts down for several hours and then boots up before the alarm sounds suspicious. On the other hand, a user will not exactly know because they are not aware of what’s going on when they’re sleeping soundly.
So, one must spend the night awake with their iPhone to figure out if their device really restarts in the hours of darkness.
Apple has yet to respond about the issue.
