Another list of smartphones under Xiaomi’s stable appears to be next on the chopping block.

Another bad news for Xiaomi users as the company’s upcoming HyperOS 2.1 and 2.2 updates might not reach some device lineups from Xiaomi, REDMI, and POCO. Although the news is still unconfirmed, leaks and insider reports all point to the inevitable end of life.
Which devices are included?
Based on the information available as of this writing, a handful of devices from Xiaomi, REDMI, and POCO’s stable might not receive the next HyperOS updates. These include:
- Xiaomi 11 series
- REDMI Note 12 series
- Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE
- POCO M5 and X5 series
- POCO F4 series
- Xiaomi Pad 6
- REDMI K50 series, except for the REDMI K50 Ultra
Don’t throw your phone just yet! While these devices may not receive the latest HyperOS updates, they will still continue to receive app updates and security updates to ensure that your phone still works even after its end-of-life.
What are they missing?
Xiaomi previously teased an iOS-looking multitasking interface but it was nowhere to be found on the current HyperOS 2.0, now, insiders believe that this feature might finally reach users in the anticipated 2.1 and 2.2 update coming this March or April.
As with any rumor, take it with a grain of salt until Xiaomi announces the official list. For now, just sit tight and stay tuned to our channel for more updates regarding HyperOS.
