The next Xperia 10 is coming out very soon and is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.
Sony is back with the newest generation of Xperia smartphones. In this lineup, one of them is labeled “parrot” and is spotted on Geekbench.
The Sony Xperia 10 VI surfaced with some essential details, including the processor, memory, and performance scores. Having the model number Sony XQ-ES72, the device scored 934 points on single-core performance and 2,816 on multi-core.
Since this is an entry-level smartphone, the handset only features 8GB of RAM and a processor with a base frequency of 1.8GHz, reportedly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Still, it’s running the latest Android 14 OS.
The Sony Xperia 10 VI is launching soon as it’s been certified already by the FCC. The brand is likely selling this handset to all major carriers and retailers in Japan. Its global release is yet to be confirmed.
Its predecessor, the Sony Xperia 10 V, was powered by the Snapdragon 695, up to 8GB of RAM, and 5000mAh battery. That CPU currently scores around 439K on AnTuTu, slightly lower compared to the SD 6 Gen 1 at around 559K.
The previous model also featured a 6.1-inch OLED screen with 1080p resolution and Triluminos display engine. It boasts a triple-rear camera setup in 48MP + 8MP + 8MP, but the successor Xperia 10 VI will only have two rear cameras.
