It appears that speculations of Exynos-powered foldables from Samsung have been debunked after an X user, PandaFlashPro, posted a claim “confirming” the use of Snapdragon 8 Elite CPUs on Samsung’s upcoming foldables.

Galaxy Z Fold 7

Powered by Snapdragon 8Elite World-Wide.
PandaFlash also claims that the Z Fold 7 features ProScaler display technology, which was first seen on the S25 Ultra. Which employs AI to improve details and make low-resolution content appear clearer on larger displays. The peak brightness of the Z Fold 7 will remain at 2600 nits, as it did in previous models.

No Z Flip love?
Unlike the Z Fold 7, which received a plethora of new information, information on the Z Flip 7 is limited, with only the storage configuration and camera specs upgraded. According to leaks, the Z Flip 7 will use the same camera technology as the Z Flip 6, underscoring Samsung’s concentration on software advancements rather than hardware.
Bleak future for Exynos
It is unknown whether the decision to employ Snapdragon chips derives from the previously reported yield issue that led Samsung to use Snapdragon chips in their S25 lineup or if the Exynos 2500 fell short of the required increases to power the Z Flip and Z Fold 7.
